Polyester vascular grafts
manufactured by TRICOMED SA are used to cover cannulae in VAD systems.
Cannulation of the patient’s heart is a very important factor of a
ventricular assist device. The polyester vascular grafts are designed to
fit the specific anatomic and technical requirements for the cannulae. The
grafts allow for an easy fixation by end-to-side anastomosis technique, as
well as they constitute an infection barrier in the area of skin insertion.
The vascular grafts are available
as smooth and crimped ones. They come in the following sizes.
